Consolidated Casting is proud to announce Don Oxford will be joining Consolidated Casting Corporation May 1st as our Quality Manager/Continuous Improvement Engineer.
Don is an American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Manager of Organizational Excellence, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, and Certified Quality Engineer. Don developed his leadership and management skills during a career as a commander and joint staff officer in the U.S. Army. He continued to develop and share these skills after his transition to manufacturing. Don started his civilian career in 1996 as a supervisor and quality engineer for MEMC Electronics in Sherman, Texas, rising to become a manufacturing superintendent. He left MEMC to work with Black and Decker as a Quality Engineer in their Kwikset Plant in Denison, Texas. There he maintained ISO 9001 certifications and reduced plant cost of quality. He took his passion for quality and continuous improvement to higher levels while working with Phill Lane at Kwikset, achieving ASQ and corporate certifications in those disciplines, facilitating over $3M in productivity annually, and again rising to become the production manager. Don accepted a position with Johnson Controls as a Senior Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager at their Air System Components office in Plano, Texas. He helped 10 heating, ventilation, and air conditioning plants achieve over $9M in annual CI productivity.
Don now brings his experience to Consolidated Casting Corporation with focus on exceeding customer expectations and reducing cost of quality.
